In today’s post I will show you how to bake quick and easy Homemade British Scones. Have fun baking!

Ingredients for about 10 – 12 Homemade Scones:
- 425 grams of flour
- 115 grams of butter
- 65 grams of sugar
- 240 milliliters of milk
- 2 eggs
- 100 grams of raisins
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- Flour to dust the countertop
Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:
- Mixing bowl
- Kitchen machine/Mixer with dough hook
- Whisk
- Rolling pin
- Round cookie cutter or glass/cup with 6 – 7 centimeters diameter
- Baking tray + parchment paper
- Brush
- Cup + Tablespoon
Instructions for the Homemade Scones:
Give milk along with eggs into a mixing bowl…
…and whisk up thoroughly with a whisk or a mixer…
…set aside 4 – 5 tablespoons of milk-egg-mixture…
…then give the egg-milk mixture together with the remaining ingredients (except the raisins) into a mixing bowl…
…& start kneading with a kitchen machine or mixer with dough hook for about 4 – 5 minutes until smooth but sticky dough…
…then add the raisins & briefly knead in…
…flour the countertop well…
…give the sticky dough onto the floured surface & dust with more flour on the top…
…next knead by pulling from the outside inwards until the whole dough is coated with a light flour layer…
…& form into a ball…
…flatten the dough ball a bit using your hands & then roll out with a rolling pin until a thickness of 2,5 centimeters…
…with a round cookie cutter cut out small dough circles with a diameter of 6 – 7 centimeters, remove the excess dough, knead & roll out again until the whole dough is used up…
…place the round dough circles with plenty space between each other on a lined baking tray…
…& brush with the egg-milk-mixture we have set aside at the beginning…
…then bake in the preheated oven at 220°C (top/bottom heat) for about 12 – 13 minutes…
…lift the done scones out of the oven & allow to coll for about 10 minuets…
…then serve the warm scones along with butter, jam or clotted cream & enjoy!
