Homemade Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise, Mayo or Majo is a thick, cold-stirred sauce based on egg yolk and oil. Mayonnaise is the ideal dip for homemade fries along with ketchup.

In today’s post I will show you how to make a quick and easy Homemade Mayonnaise at home. Have fun cooking!

Ingredients for about 1 small jar mayonnaise:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 200 milliliters sunflower oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • ¼ lemon
  • Salt & pepper

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk

Homemade Mayonnaise - Step 3…next, add another small dash of sunflower oil…

Homemade Mayonnaise - Step 4…& with a whisk beat until the oil is stirred in completely…

Homemade Mayonnaise - Step 5…reapeat that…

Homemade Mayonnaise - Step 6…until the whole oil (200 milliliters) was stirred in…

Homemade Mayonnaise - Step 7…the mayonnaise should get thicker and whiter the more oil was added…

Homemade Mayonnaise - Step 8…finally add the juice of ¼ lemon…

Homemade Mayonnaise - Step 9…also season with salt & pepper…

Homemade Mayonnaise - Step 10…stir in spices & lemon juice (also add a small dash of water if the mayonnaise seems to be too thick)…

Homemade Mayonnaise - Step 11…then transfer the mayonnaise to small dip bowls and serve along with homemade fries!!
