In today’s post I will show you how to make a real Italian Pizza Dough at home. Have fun baking!
Homemade: Homemade Italian Pizza Dough

Ingredients for 4 pizzas:
- 500 grams of flour
- 300 milliliters of lukewarm water
- 15 grams of salt
- 2 grams of yeast
- Flour & durum wheat semolina for the countertop
Required kitchen gadgets, helper & preparations:
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon
- Kitchen towel
- Tupper bowl or baking dish
- Cling film
Instructions for the Homemade Italian Pizza Dough:
Give 300 milliliters water…
…along with 15 grams of salt…
…& 2 grams of yeast into a mixing bowl.
Stir everything with your fingers until yeast and salt have dissolved…
…then gradually add 400 grams of flour…
…and stir together with a spoon…
…until the dough loosen from the bowl wall as a dumpling.
Now add the remaining 100 grams of flour…
…and knead using your hands for about 5 minutes…
…until all dough residues (of the bowl wall and bottom) are well incorporated…
…& the dough is slightly sticky.
Flour the countertop with about 10 grams of flour…
…& knead the dough on the floured surface pulling from the outside inwards another 5 – 6 minutes…
…until a smooth dough.
Form a dough ball and let rest on a floured countertop covered with a damp kitchen towel for about 2 hours.
Then cut the dough with a knife in 4 approximately equal pieces…
…and form 4 dough ball on a slightly floured countertop.
Place the dough balls with a little distance from each other in a lightly floured Tupper bowl or casserole…
…cover with cling film and store over night in the fridge.
Sprinkle the countertop with a little durum wheat semolina & flatten the dough ball a bit with your hands…
…then stretch the dough with circular movements under your palms to a flat pizza base.
Then garnish the pizza base with ingredients of your choice!
